Dramanduhr
Dramanduhr is the esoteric and Mediterranean musical creation of Italian songwriter and producer Stefano Eliamo. More than a band, Dramanduhr is an immersive artistic universe where music, mythology, ritual and symbolism converge into a single experience. Each album is conceived not simply as a collection of songs, but as a chapter of an ongoing initiatory journey.
The project was born on December 25, 2020, following a seemingly ordinary yet profoundly symbolic event. During a family toast in the garden, a champagne glass accidentally shattered into countless fragments. The emotional intensity of that moment became the catalyst for a creative breakthrough. What had begun as an unnamed musical idea suddenly transformed into something autonomous, revealing a new artistic identity and giving birth to Dramanduhr.
From that experience emerged the Dahrmonium, an original language based on pure glossolalia. Rather than communicating through conventional meaning, Dahrmonium seeks to evoke archetypes, emotions and states of consciousness that exist beyond ordinary language. Every word functions as a ritual sound, inviting the listener to experience the music intuitively rather than intellectually.
As the music developed, Stefano experienced a vivid vision that became the conceptual foundation of the entire project. In this vision, an open-air temple stands on the slopes of an erupting volcano, where groups of adepts gather to perform the Rite of the Volcano. Guided by a prophet, they invoke Dramanduhr, a deity from another world whose presence dissolves rational thought and awakens the deepest, most instinctive dimensions of the human being. Within this ritual, sexuality, violence, ecstasy and transcendence are not celebrated as excess, but understood as primordial forces that reconnect humanity with its forgotten essence and, ultimately, with the Absolute. Every composition represents one of the ritual’s liturgies.
Musically, Dramanduhr defines itself as Mediterranean Metal: a distinctive fusion of black metal, avant-garde composition, progressive structures, folk influences and ritual percussion, deeply rooted in the cultural landscape of Sicily and the wider Mediterranean world. Ancient processions, pagan traditions, tribal rhythms and sacred theatre coexist with extreme metal, creating a sound that is both visceral and contemplative.
The project’s discography unfolds as The Dahrmonium Trilogy, an initiatory cycle exploring different stages of transformation through Dramanduhr's original ritual language. Tramohr (2022) introduces the volcanic rite, where earth, flesh and fire symbolize the birth of the ritual. Vertuhn (2025) continues the journey by turning from the incandescent red of the volcano toward the deep blue of the cosmos, expanding the ritual into a spiritual communion between earth, sky and soul. The forthcoming third album will close the Dahrmonium Trilogy and bring its mythological, musical and ceremonial arc to a definitive conclusion.
Entirely conceived, written and performed by Stefano Eliamo, Dramanduhr is a one-man artistic vision that transforms extreme music into ceremonial experience. It does not seek merely to entertain, but to immerse the listener in a symbolic world where myth, instinct and transcendence converge. Dramanduhr is not simply music—it is an invitation to cross the threshold between the visible and the invisible, where every album becomes a rite, every song a liturgy, and every listener a participant in the ceremony.
